Sundin scored one from farther out but about the same angle against the Isles a few years ago ... and effin' Kerry Fraser waived it off for goaltender interference.  But point is, it takes an special talent to score a goal like Kessel just did.
Dude, how do you even remember something like that?

Late season game, Leafs were in the playoff hunt, so there was a lot of emotion tied to that completely crap call...
Apparently, i'm the only person that doesn't remember. ;)

43 saves is worth two shut-outs if you ask me.  Put that on the score sheet!

I'm seriously going to have to sleep on my MotM votes.

Also: Poor Reilly, he was that close.  Just do it again tomorrow night, mmkay?

So with Bozak:  12 points in 11 games
Without Bozak: 6 points in 2 games

Not that we are keeping score at home.

Solid win.  They outplayed Edmonton for the most part.  The 40+ shots seems artificially high given how the team played.

So any speculation as to who the lucky guy will be to center Kessel and JVR at the Olympics?

Pavelski would be a good choice. Or maybe Stastny?

I'm thinking a last minute citizenship granted to Nazem Kadri. I'm pretty sure American hockey fans will embrace him.

A solid shutout for Reimer. He's playing with enormous confidence, certainly better than before or so it seems.

Teams will soon start having nightmares playing the Leafs, what with two dependable goalies, plus not to mention when the Kessel line gets going...

Score effects tends to inflate the shot attempts by the team down by a few goals.

Wow....Edmonton is a special kind of bad. No goaltending, no defense (fwiw, justin Schultz didn't look all too impressive in the couple games I've seen from him), and there seems to be a lot of talent there up front....on paper.  How can they have so much drafted talent and suck so large....very special indeed.

Great game by the Leafs all around.  I love CORSI.

The Oilers are the new Senators.

I gotta admit,, I was more than pissed when Eakins was passed over to replace Mr. Wilson. Carlyle is now my new favorite human.
