I'm sorry, but Reimer gives up too many rebounds for me to praise him as much as Millen is.

That's pretty much what I think. His style works well when it does, but then you get those games like game 7 when the scrambly play costs the team.  That said, he's playing better than Bernier right now, so I guess we have to hope it keeps working.

I'm such an idiot for thinking at one point that the Oilers rebuild was on the right track. What an atrocious team.

They have a lot of one type of player - the kind that doesn't play defence.

Yeah, and even J Schultz... really didn't know he was that bad defensively.

Seems we're using the 3rd and 4th line a good bit at the minute. Fair enough to rest the top guys for tomorrow.

You have to feel a bit for Eakins.  He was brought in as being the guy that could perhaps get the most out of a young team based on how he had developed the Leafs youth with the Marlies.  It has been a nightmare thus far.

As long as he keeps stopping enough pucks for the Leafs to win on a regular basis, does it really matter? Because, I mean, that's exactly what he's doing. He's making big saves, tough saves, somewhat acrobatic saves, etc. He's shown an ability to be able to handle the rebounds he gives up and keep the puck out of the net. That's all that really matters.

Against a team with more net presence it won't be good enough.  As Strangelove points out.

Easy McFate last time I mentioned Reimer's rebounds I got crucified. LOL.

Orr and Gazdic get tossed for not fighting? Was there a memo that I missed?

Was there really a need for a fight with the game out of hand?

I'm not complaining or anything, I just thought it was odd. I'm actually glad Gazdic is gone, I thought maybe he might try to get some revenge on Franson for the RNH hit.

The game 7 breakdown wasn't exactly Reimer's fault. That was a team wide collapse. Play like that and it won't matter who is in net.

It's tough to find faults in a game like this, but I think the easy one to point out is that the top line has done all the work offensively here. The rest of the team hasn't looked very dangerous. Obviously, injuries play a role here, but I would maybe swap Lupul and Clarkson in the line-up. Lupul is too good to be playing with McClement and Ashton, and Clarkson fits that line a little more.

Yeah I haven't seen much offensively from Clarkson yet.

Don't get me wrong, you can't criticize a 40+ shot shutout too much.  It's just that Millen was going on and on and on.
