Leafs @ Panthers - Dec. 15 7:00pm EST - CBC

And of course they score with 3 seconds left.  Babcock is gonna find a way to get the 4th line more time too.

This team is playing brutal situational hockey right now, since the buffalo game really.

The 4th line again, pinned in and now a too many men.  They need to find a way to make a change when the puck comes back in the D zone.  They all stay on when 2 can get off.  Need to run 3 lines right now.
I don't understand our over reliance on the 4th line, honestly. They are a repeated liability.

Are we regretting dealing Leivo?  They've been shoddy since.

Meh, if Nylander had potted his chance, and the refs had done their job on the obstruction, it could be a different game. We'll get em back in the 2nd.

Good play to break us down. PK did a good job nonetheless.
Except Hainsey getting sucked into leaving the net and Barkov. He went too far. He does that a lot and seems teams are exploiting it. Not the first time he's been out of position on the pk.

If I were king I'd go ahead and reunite Nylander with Matthews for the rest of this one.  Let Kapanen try to get Kadri going.  He's been pretty disappointing most of the time aside from one stretch.

I do and don?t understand it.  I understand that Babcock is gonna use the 4th line no matter how many goals they give up.  I don?t understand why Babcock won?t change for anything.  He never adapts to a game.  Just does the same thing, always.

What are we to make of Hyman?s go-to fighting move being to jersey his opponent?
It's a fight, he's not a fighter, he's trying to survive. No issue with it.

Nylander isn't ready for 1st line duties yet. Soon tho but just not yet.

That?s what I meant by good play by them to open up the opportunity. Puck carrier drags the PK box out of shape and finds the tac and toe to tic to.

Gardiner made this shift happen. Great hold at the blue line to turn this one shift into two or three more cycles.
