I get being frustrated but three of these goals were the result of great plays by maybe one of the 5 best guys to ever play the game. There is no easy or simple way to defend them and "just cover Crosby" is not it.
I agree Nik, we are a young team with some injury problems and a goaltender who may be showing confidence issues.  It happened to Cary Price, Fleury and all the other greats, just not great timing for us.
Hate to say it but without Rielly skating the puck up ice for 26 minutes a night, its not a great option with such a limited D.
Just wonder where we would be with our number 1 D man and Souperman.  May be missing Mango as well.
Good post Highlander. Said it before, we are really missing Rielly.
Matthews is awesome tho.
Maybe we all have to admit we barely know what were talking about when we analyse this team. I was semi on the Rielly should be traded train but I mean how do you adequately replace him? Then again didn't we say the same thing when a lot of our players were out this year?

See what can happen when you simply throw it at the net? These guys need more shots and less stupid passes. That 5 on 3 was absolute crap. The special teams coach can't be ok with that.

Speak for yourself. I know what I'm talking about lol.

I wonder if either of the assistant coaches survives the off-season. Both were Babcock hires and neither seems to have accomplished very much in the way of improvements to team systems. I would think Keefe might prefer to select his own guys next summer.

PP has generally been good even though that 5-3 was awful.

I'd fire the PP coach just because of the stupid way he has the Leafs bringing the puck up the ice.

I liked when Gaithier tried to skate through three defenders and got through none of them

Good grief.  Just got here and it sounds ugly.

It's good, I suppose, to get spanked like this now.  Dubas had better seriously consider selling.  He needs to be honest, even if they got in they aren't going anywhere.
