Wow, the Pens had 50 shots.

We've given up 40+ a bunch of times already, yes?

I looked it up. Prior to the game, Andersen has 433 shots against, second in the league to Cam Talbot at 435, who has played 1 more entire game. So Andersen leads the league by far.

Compare to Peter Budaj, who has had only 273 SA in the same number of games as Andersen. That's a massive diff.

We lost because we can't knock someone on their ass. That is it. I don't care if it Crosby, hit him. Effien soft.

Man, if only these NHL coaches knew about hitting Crosby. A tactic like that is sure to neutralize the best player in the world.

Perhaps freer should watch this.

My major peeve with the new brand of hockey is there is an absolute lack of defensemen knocking people down, its all stickwork, they gotta start knocking people around especially in front of the net. God I would die to watch Brian Glennie hip check some sorry b_____t's on his butt crossing the blue line. He used to do it a few times a game.

You know he plays the boards and back of the net like Wayne did. But maybe two levels down from him, but still five levels up on everyone else since.

Sadly the hip check has become a lost art. Now if you go too low, you get called for clipping. So now D men just rub people out along the boards.

Sad too, because hip checks look awesome and all they do is embarrass the player on the receiving end.

The topsy-turvy tumble almost never results in an injury.

It's not just that clipping is a penalty.  Players are better at moving the puck and you take yourself out of the play on hip checks.

b_____t's

I'm still trying to figure out what this word is in relation to the rest of the sentence...

So glad I'm not the only one.
