This should mean Bernier gets his 3rd straight start on Saturday. So much for the rotation.

I'd say so.  We've had goalies who have had good stretches in past decade or so, but I don't recall anyone as positionally sound and calm as Bernier looks right now.  He'll have his bad games, but man he looks like he could be really really good.

I love tsn.ca doesn't even have the final score or gamestory posted yet, but have a (buried) short blurb on Franson getting pushed.  If they didn't broadcast it, they pretend it didn't exist.  ::)

Randy Carlyle: Franson's visor cut the bridge of his nose. No more info at this time #TMLtalk

Again, hopefully it's just a cut and he'll be fine on Saturday. It didn't really seem more severe than that.

Nice to see the top line step up like that; the Kadri line and even the youngins worked hard, too.  Broll > Orr as far as I'm concerned.

What's left to say about Bernier?  Top SV% and GAA in the league among goalies who have played more than one game, and it's no fluke.

I'd complain about the 39% in the faceoff circle, but 4-0 is the only stat I care about tonight.  Hope Franson's only cut; I know how badly noses can bleed.

Bernier's dominance of the Predators is nothing short of impressive as he upped his w/l record against them to 8 and 1.

How much do we save if we send Orr down and keep Broll up?

I'd say I would save about an hour of sleep a night.

Oh, you meant cap space. About $335k. Orr's not going anywhere though.

Burke sent him down before. There's hope?

Carlton's right though; Orr's here to stay. Though I suspect Nonis would be open to more skill, less thugs; he doesn't have the right coach. Orr was sent down because of Wilson. With Carlyle, he's an integral part of the team.
