Leafs @ sens - Mar. 30th, 7:00pm - CBC, TSN 1050

Marleau will likely finish his contract here and sign a cheapo 1 year with San Jose to chase the GP record and retire.

Backup will be Sparks unless there is a clearly better and even cheaper option that falls into our laps without spending an asset.

If sparks sticks around it speaks to much larger problems, namely player evaluation.

The Leafs are not going to spend big bucks to try to upgrade the backup goaltender position in a cap crunch season when we have a league minimum option that the GM and current players are already comfortable with.

Anderson is the only reason this game isn?t 3-0

Leafs controlled 70% of the period?s shot share.
sens were unable to register a shot attempt from below the dots.

Well that was boring.  Leafs can?t take it to the sens... again.

So many flubbed passes. These guys just haven?t find a rhythm.

That basically covers it. Next season, the Leafs are going to have to rely on a number of cheaper contracts next season. Efficient spending is going to key.

Austerity measures! Locking down the big three just before the expansion and tv deal bump to the cap will open things back up after.

If there are any top European goalies looking to come over I could see the Leafs trying to recruit one. Gets them on an ELC and comes with waiver flexibility, both of which will be big pluses for us.

DobberProspects pointing to Adam Reideborn from the SHL as an option for teams looking for a UFA goalie. He?s 27 though so his contract wouldn?t be an ELC (highest bidder).

The Leafs will have Ian Scott and Joseph Woll in the mix either with the Marlies or Growlers. Bouthillier is on an ECHL contract.

Pretty impressive stats. But like you said the Leafs aren't getting into a bidding war for a back-up goalie so unless he takes sub-$1mil it doesn't happen.

Maybe Hutchinson comes back on a cheap deal. I doubt the Leafs will want Scott or Woll to be rushed into the NHL if Andersen gets hurt.

He made a nice stop on that high tip in response, but I?m betting he wants that Duclair shot back. Definitely looks like he let go of the play when he saw Matthews with the puck.

Bruins lose, leafs still with an outside chance of getting home ice, and this is the effort we get against the sens through 30 mins?  Step it up.  Where?s the pride?
