Leafs @ Sharks - Mar. 11th, 10:30pm - SN, SN 590

I get losing. I don't get them being totally outworked by guys named "Wiggles".

Edit: Oh it's "Wingles". That makes me feel better.

McLaren has fought all the other teams super heavyweight goons.  Some of those goons pounded Brown which could have career ending.

There's no reason for Brown to engage those players. He's someone who can fight if a fight is necessary, which it never is, but actually contributes otherwise. If other teams dress their super-heavyweights and the Leafs don't, it's a net positive for the Leafs.

I wonder if poor Bernier is gonna be forced to come in here.

Why bother?

I wouldn't either, but exactly how long do you leave Reimer out there to get embarrassed? And I don't think it's his fault either, by the way.

Unbelievable how horrible this team is playing man on man. Good quality chances to. Hey Randy why not call a timeout and let the whole works of them have it. If the goalies don't stand on their heads we're f***ed.

Maybe playing 8 forwards a night isn't a good idea when you are playing 3 games in 4 nights with all three games being against difficult opponents.

I have to say, the Leafs seem to play scared in front of Reimer, running around and trying to block shots at all costs to prevent anything on net. With Bernier they pretty often just get out of the way in teh knowledge there won't be a rebound.

I think that dynamic has been in part responsible for some of the truly awful performances we've seen with Reimer in net.

I agree, but sometimes when you're the backup you get to take one in the neck for the team.  Lucky James, tonight's his night.  Bringing in Bernier would just make him that much less rested for LA.

You can blame the damn Olympics for this one.  3 games in 4 nights?  Not much chance there.

I actually thought Reimer was a wise choice tonight anyway. Thought the whole "something to prove" thing might lift him to greatness. But he's just been kinda average and the Leafs have been horrible. Bad mix against San Jose.

LOL that play by Raymond was absolutely hilarious.

I wonder if he considered whether it might be a good idea to attempt a shot on a clear-cut 2-0 breakaway down 4-1.
