I agree with that. I work in the architecture industry and I see it as similar to square foot prices. People always ask me how much a building will cost per square foot. Saying $200/sq.ft. might give a ball park figure for a budget, but it's not accurate to suggest a 2050 sqft. home will cost $10k more than a 2000 sq.ft. home. It really depends on how that sq.ft. is deployed.
It's similar for pts (or goals)/60 minutes. Useful perhaps for putting a player into a broad category, but not useful for making detailed comparisons.
