Leafs barely getting a sniff of the net at even strength. This dump and chase BS is killing them. Time to ease up on the reins there, Babs. You tried something, you stuck with it for a while. It ain't working. Move on to the next strategy.

Shutup you, Babs is teaching them to be real gud pros dontcha know?

Questionable lineup decisions every night and a crappy system, but it?s a teaching moment, have faith that every one will be gud pl?rs by the end and we?ll all live happily every after.

;)

I transited through MSP earlier today.  Thought that if for some reason my outbound flight got XLD I might try to find a way to the game.  But the airlines came through and saved me! zzzzzzzz

Komarov is incapable of having the type of shift that Leivo just had. Yet Leivo sits in the press box unless there?s an injury and Komarov is guaranteed a spot in the top six regardless of his historically awful season.

The Leafs have become unwatchable.

I'm back to the Carlyle days where I am hoping for a loss because it will force the coach to change the style of this team (it never does).

They are playing a team who plays the trap. Of course it is hard to watch.

Romanuk and Millen talking about finding a happy medium, which is probably true but part of that is letting the team bomb away in the 3rd in a game like this against a nonconf opponent and down just 1.

Also, Babcock needs to put Marner in a headlock and tell him if he doesn't shoot more he'll get leivoed.

It's not just this game. It's been like this for a while.

You know what's really successful in beating the trap? Speed.

You know what Babcock's current strategy has nerfed? The Leafs' speed.

Exactly. Hmm. this team plays the trap. Let's continuously dump and chase. That's how you beat the trap right!

Well it is hard to disagree with the best coach league in the last 10 years. So I will give him the benefit of the doubt right now

It's really not that hard. The evidence is pretty clear. The strategy he's employing isn't the right strategy. The fact that he's been successful in the past doesn't change that.

And, the best coach in the league over the last 10 years is Joel Quenneville.

Bozak and JvR are having a relatively good night. Really liking Borgman?s moves tonight too.

We are also holding the shot share advantage overall.

They've looked much better to start the 3rd. Babcock clearly listened to me, as they're definitely more focused on attacking with speed while carrying the puck instead of dumping the puck.
