Lightning @ Maple Leafs - Nov. 6th, 7:00pm - SN, Fan 590

Really sad how not much can be changed unless a trade because of the cap issues this team has been in the last few years. Bandaid fixes by Dubas and Treliving hasn?t worked. Some on here will disagree with me because I know Jack sh*t but some drastic changes need to be made because it?s going to get worse. Really don?t like what Dubas did with the team and depleted our farm system but dealing away draft picks for essentially sweet f all.

We all thought this lineup was going to be amongst the upper echelon of the league in November right?

This is a work in progress all, enjoy the ride.

Samsonov was garbage but the so-called PK was just as bad.

It's beginning to look like Treliving really bungled the offseason. The first one I'd cut losses with is Klingberg.  He's singlenghandedly made a shaky D much worse.

I told you last year Samsonov is not a guy you?re going to win with. Should never have resigned him. The problem is with the cap issues and other holes to fill what was Treliving to do? You have goaltender, defense and depth forwards positions to fill with only so much money. Dubas messed things up and tried to fill these spots with cheap players and it didn?t work. Until Tavares is done or unless trades are made we are screwed.

I know it?s only 1 game but I think most on here know more on how to run lines and teams more than Keefe and management.

Keefe should probably be fired for not putting Knies on the top line sooner.  Although Knies plays well against Tampa as well.

I didn?t mind the signings because we did need some more grit but Domi and Bertuzzi have provided nothing offensively. What Treliving should have done was promoted some youngsters like Robertson and maybe Steve?s etc let them gain some experience and used the money to address the goaltending and especially the D. Nick has had his opportunities and hasn?t panned out but I think he has the potential but he needs to stay healthy. He can?t do any worse than what the rest have provided.

Simpson is right the intensity is there. As fans that?s all we ask. Seeing the top players making hits is what needs to be done. Win or lose if the effort and intensity is there they wouldn?t be booed.
