Maple Leafs @ Penguins - Nov. 26th, 7:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

I thought Pittsburgh was going to tie it up and then tilt the ice.  Great response from the Leafs.

Although he's not scoring, I do have to say that Matthews passing/playmaking seems to have improved this year.  I think all the way back to the OT winning setting up Robertson, which was a beauty.
Definitely. Matthews said himself earlier he doesn't care about personal stuff. He wants to win. It looks like he's bought into Keefe's message.

Gotta say, I still can?t believe some people were shouting about how expendable Nylander was because Kapanen had two good shifts with Matthews one week.

Aston Reese holds up instead of delivering a hit on the forecheck and then instead takes his man down for a penalty.

Big kill coming up to keep momentum going into the third period

Game management time!

Seemed like a good hold up if he was staring at numbers the whole way in. Soft call but it?ll probably end up as a Marner shortie.

I'm with you. I claimed I'd rather have Nylander than Marner. I think I still stick with that.

I haven't been able to watch the last few games in their entirety but the Leafs D seems to be giving up less quality chances now than with our regular D. Head scratching. I thought with all the call-ups we would be struggling defensively but team is playing better in my opinion. Thoughts?

Remember how bad Nylander's contract was when he signed it?

Nope.

I remember a lot of people complaining about how much money it was.

The person who deserved more criticism was honestly Dubas.  He was stubborn with the money on the Nylander contract and had the holdout last way too long

Totally disagree. Dubas didn't hold out or low ball the offer.
