Maple Leafs @ Penguins - Nov. 26th, 7:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

Hollowell hasn?t looked as good tonight as last night but he?s still doing some positive things for a guy that coming into the season had essentially no chance of playing in the NHL with the Leafs this year

I haven't been able to watch the last few games in their entirety but the Leafs D seems to be giving up less quality chances now than with our regular D. Head scratching. I thought with all the call-ups we would be struggling defensively but team is playing better in my opinion. Thoughts?

I think the forwards have really been playing responsibly and of course the goalies have been full value.  So the structure is working and even the new inserts are plug-and-play,

Gotta say, I still can?t believe some people were shouting about how expendable Nylander was because Kapanen had two good shifts with Matthews one week.

I'm with you. I claimed I'd rather have Nylander than Marner. I think I still stick with that.

Remember how bad Nylander's contract was when he signed it?
Nope.

I remember a lot of people complaining about how much money it was.

You can argue whether it was too much or not. I was one to complain and nothing against Willy. Numbers bantered around back then was Ehlers or Pasternak money. Which was fine as he is comparable player maybe not as good as Pasta back then but oh well. Issue I had back then is he was well paid especially that first year earning over 10 million and he didn't sign till December. What some have to realize is the contract looks great now seeing what players are signing for but that's the way it works. He's a bargain now. Nonetheless he's playing great and hopefully continues his strong play. Line shuffling was overdo but I think it was the right move. If Papa can get back to his norm team will be even that much better.
