Marlies Talk 13/14

Still 3-0 Marlies. 4 minutes left in the 3rd and the Stars net has been empty for the last 2 minutes.

EDIT: Carrick just nailed on a slashing call. 6 on 4 for the Stars.

Marlie's win it 3-1 ...i don't know if they can pull it off tomorrow..but i like that they forced the stars to the brink..see how they handle the pressure

Marlies 8 times shorthanded in total, with a couple of 5-on-3s, too.  They've got to tighten up for Game 7.  Great to see they've pushed the series to the brink.

Yeah. If they can play with the same enthusiasm that they did tonight, they should win. I'm just a little concerned with the back to back, and how hard they needed to play tonight to get the win. Fatigue may become a factor by the mid way point in tomorrow nights game. Let's hope they can battle through it and pull off the upset... GO Marlies!!

Kind of insane that the Marlies pulled this one out.  Not only did they win 3-1 but they had to fight off some pretty one-sided officiating.  SEVEN powerplays in a row for Texas until they finally scored a goal with three and a half minutes left in the game (on the 7th PP, 8th of the game).

Nice of Ashton to show up with 2 big goals.  He only had 1 point in the series over the first 5 games.

Marlies take an early lead in game 7 on a goal from Frazer McLaren

He's allowed to do that?

They told him to punch the puck towards the net with his stick, and keep punching until it goes in.

He was playing well last night as a 4th liner and was even out there in the last 5 minutes as the 4th line hemmed Texas in for over half a minute.

It's Orr that still makes no sense to me, in my books McLaren can play when the other team employs a goon and not hurt Toronto too much.

He was better last season than he was when he got into the lineup this season. I think he felt more pressure to look for fights this year.

I think that huge pad save late in the 2nd woke up the crowd, and that woke up the Stars.  Sometimes it's the little things.
