I would be very disappointed if the Leafs traded Kulemin.  I hope he gets signed for a $3.25 or max a $3.5 a year 5 year deal.  ($3, $3, $3.25, $3.5, $3.5) or max like ($3, $3.25, $3.5, $3.75, $4.0).

Bolland knows what it takes to win as he said.  I read where the coaching staff were impressed with Bolland's work ethic in games but also at practice where they said he still did everything top speed.

I hope that neither Bolland or Kadri get signed above Bozak's contract.  I think it is an excellent benchmark. 

So I hope the forward depth of Kulemin and Bolland are kept unless Bolland is now damaged goods, then take his experience and make him a coach.
 
I think guys like Kulemin and Bolland (even tough he's only played a handful of games for Toronto) are/will be the glue that holds this team together. Successful teams have at least two or three above average to great two-way players.
 
I still believe that Kuli is willing to give Maple Leafs some sort of home town discount to stay in Toronto. He is firmly rooted here, his family is happy and he seems quite a conservative guy in that regard.

Bolland's 27. You can bet that even if he is damaged goods, he's not going into coaching for a long time.

Frankly, I'd love to keep him, but given Nonis' recent contract signings, it's going to be tough.
 
its possible that Bolland will never play as he once did, so he is in the unenviable position of having to prove himself all over again when he comes to a point in his career when he believes he should "cash in", as did Clarkson. The problem is we are taking a huge chance on his renewal until he proves he is worth the upgrade in his contract. If so give it to him, if not he become trade bait later in the year.
I personally love the guy but he has had what has ended some players careers in the past.

And we're talking about a guy who scored a cup-winning goal, here.  It doesn't get a whole lot better than that.  I bet a lot of guys would strongly consider just hanging up the skates in Bolland's position.

I can't imagine many 27 year olds would retire without at least giving it a try.
 
I not trying to be negative here but pragmatic, the reality is he may never be able to do what he did. I hope I am wrong and that his full skills return and that he leads us to our next cup.
 
Is it just me or does it sound like you're lamenting the potential loss of one of the greats, and not a guy who has never reached 20 goals or 50 points?

Anyway, the guy is 27. How about we let him heal up and see if he can't work his way back m'kay?

I didn't disagree with that, just with the notion that he would consider retirement at his age with out at least attempting to play again.

why are we talking like he had a career ruining injury when he just missed a couple months?
