Oilers @ Maple Leafs - Dec 10, 7 pm - TSN

Kadri hooked down and somehow that isn't a penalty.  What the heck did this team do to the refs?

Broissant ... or Croissant?

mirtle: When I was on the Leafs western trip, there were some Oilers fans on the flight. They were calling their backup "Croissant."

I don't think it was a term of endearment.

If Auston never reaches his potential because of injuries he sustained from players taking advantage of him, then the Leafs should ask for some of their money back on the Matt Martin contract.

What do you want Martin to do, KO Morgan Reilly?  ::)

Hey, come on, he's already improved on his SV% on the year tonight.

He's paid to protect Matthews.  Reilly needs to learn a lesson.

Tinfoil hat time, but about 10 games ago Babcock was asked about a penalty incident in a game and his response was "I thought it was fine, but the other awful calls weren't."

It took me by surprise because usually, coaches treat any criticism of officiating very carefully/diplomatically.

The Leafs have barely had a call since and they routinely get the shaft from officials.

It's probably just coincidence though, officials are getting worse, not better.

It was an accident plain and simple. The whole line and D were clueless on that play it actually was a 3 on 0 before they scored. All running around out of position and to boot the collision. We don't even know if it was from last night or the injury before or if it was re aggravated from the hit. Unfortunate.

I get line matching but it seems like the Leafs are reacting to line changes both at home on the road.  If we are supposed to be a good team maybe teams should be trying to line match us and not the other way around.

Well, the first one he gave up was certainly a muffin.

But at least he's not matched up against Andersen, the Danish.

I'll see if I can find my out now.

Let's just hope that McBackup can put up a Bagel rather than play like one.

Yeah, hopefully the 1-0 score's baked in from here on out.

Oh look, the Leafs get a penalty.  Home, road, doesn't matter.  The Leafs will be penalized.

Downside: less ice time for Nylander when we get penalties.

Upside: first shift after will be Marleau - Kadri - Nylander.

Or Martin-Moore-Marleau....?  Eh, Marleau drew a penalty.

Saving Kadri for McDavid time I?m guessing.
