Since the decision is likely to come today . . .

MolinariPG: Pittsburgh is OFFICIALLY OUT on Zach Parise. He will not be joining the Penguins.

mirtle: Sounds like it's down to the Devils and Wild for Parise. @MolinariPG says the Penguins are out of the mix.

CraigCustance: Red Wings have been notified they're out of Parise hunt.

Well, I guess it will be Minnesota for Parise. Just a guess. It will be hard for him to leave Lou, but I don't think there is ultimately room for Kovi and Parise on that team.

Certainly starting to look that way. Could be a huge day for the Wild.

Defenceman Ryan Suter and forward Zach Parise have both agreed to terms on 13-year contracts with the Minnesota Wild.

Suter scored seven goals and 39 assists in 79 games with the Predators in 2011-12. He was selected to represent the team at the All-Star Game in Ottawa.

He is coming off a four-year, $14 million contract he signed with the Predators in 2008.

The 27-year-old Suter had spent his entire seven-year career in Nashville after the team drafted him with the seventh overall pick of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He has scored 38 goals and 200 assists in 542 career games with the Predators.

He was also part of the Silver Medal-winning 2010 U.S. Olympic team.

Well that's just weird.

Minnesota is a hockey state. They care about the game. This will elevate the team into the elite in the west, and that crowd will show fans of other teams and players on other teams how passionate they are about the game. Im happy for fans of the wild.

Wow, I am happy for the Wild, they really haven't been the same team since Gaborik left a while ago, this will help them vault back to a playoff team, the fans deserve it, they are die hard and passionate.
