Yep C. It was Army.

And i still don't think it was funny.

So another thing...how do i get my ipad to scroll down when i want to quote stuff and respond in the text box. I cant figure out how to scroll down. Damn.

I have the same problem on my iPhone, which is why that Tapatalk app was so great. I think the only way is to hold your finger down in the text box until the magnifying glass comes up and then slide your finger down the screen.
Two finger swipe scroll guys :).

Colborne seems strong on the puck.

I've found him to be slow at distributing the puck though.  He definitely has the body and puck control to play in the NHL though.

Millen's comment on his skating wasn't precise in my opinion (what else is new with Millen?  ;) ).

Going from point A to point B in a straight line, his speed isn't bad when I've watched him. It's his big wide turns that trouble me sometimes and compromise him getting somewhere as quickly as he might.

An aspect of his game I liked last year continued tonight: the guy has a defensive conscience and plays in both ends of the ice. Even if he doesn't make the top six, that bodes well for his future in the NHL. He's still got some learning to do but I like his on-ice attitude in that regard. He could turn into a good, big checking center with scoring skills because he's got good vision and passing ability.

Having said that, I still think he needs some time in the AHL - probably a full year. He'll have to improve his faceoffs if he's to make it at center though.

I just noticed grabovski has an A now

Probably just for the night.

I'm not so sure... He's had the "A" on mapleleafs.com for a while. - Under the roster.

Not sure I'd put much stock into that. But I would imagine two of Armstrong, Grabovski, Komisarek, and Schenn will be wearing the 'A' this season. Maybe they'll rotate.

Grabovski wore the 'A' during the season last year for a short time, too.

Maybe I'm the only one but Goose looks so slow to react, especially when he can't see the puck. He just stays in one position and looks lost. He's also still very slow going side to side and anticipating the play. He guesses quite a lot. Hopefully its just the jitters but if he's not careful Scrivens looks ready to take the backup position.

A couple of times he was streaking in on the goaltender. Maybe he turns into a great player, maybe not. I think it's too early to tell based on one game which largely, and to my contented surprise, turned out to be the Bozak show. The other lines didn't play much of a factor, even the Mac-Grabbo-Kooly line.

Also: Aulie looked pretty bad out there. It looked like he was getting beat a lot, making bad passes and bad decisions. Everyone talks about Gunnarsson being on the bubble, but Aulie's play earlier tonight did not give me a lot of confidence.

Hey guys I have an iPad.

I know it is just a pre-season but look what increased competition for jobs brings out of the players. Bozak, who was slotted for the first line job last year, now battling for third line job and look how desperate he is. Log jam on D, sure, and look at Gunnarson having a great game. Scrivens pushing Gustavsson. I love it.

This is what the Leafs need so badly. In the past there were times everyone was so damn safe about his position, nobody even tried. The more hungry kids we have in the system, the better.

Bozak and his linemates Kessel and Versteeg looked spectacular in the preseason last year as well, tic-tac-toeing passes around the offensive zone and generally appearing as though they were toying with the opposition.

1 exhibition game. Keith proved himself last year with his steady play. Crazy to dismiss that over the first exhibition game.

Aulie's turn for the sophomore slump.

Anyone else think Scrivens has a shot of unseating Gustavsson?

That would be possible only if Gustavvson's play shows a monumental collapse.  He certainly looked a little slow, 'off-key' some say, that's after not having played dating back to last season, a long time it's been.  Gustavvson would be exhibitng some 'rust'.  Then again, who knows how things will turn out?  If the Goose keeps playing with mediocrity and Scrivens one-ups him......

He'll need to play a few more games yet, but I think there's a possibility. He looked more settled than Goose.

Overall I would 'agree'.

Like everyone else, I was really happy to see how well Gardiner fit in.  But the guy who really impressed me (who hasn't seemed to have received as much press) was Joe Colborne with his puck control down low.  I know it's a pre-season roster, but the Sens defenders could not move him off the puck and he created a couple of nice chances.  Future is looking bright.
