We've seen players beat up in the preseason only to flame our before but this is intriguing.

All he did last season was score at a better rate then everyone not named Matthews at 5v5 per/60 mins. The kid can shoot the puck and his D game has really improved over last season. Makes 850K, absolutely no brainer.

You can make this assessment from, what, a handful of preseason games? Come on..

Anyway he's a lock to make the team and it's intriguing, as Bender said. Some serious depth scoring is sorely needed.

Indeed, he's been good doing that in the handful of preseason games, as everyone has acknowledged.

I?d move on from Domi and Reaves instead of Kampf and Jarnkrok personally, but swagger trumps quiet scut work, I guess!

I agree. Kampf and Jarnkrok aren't very flashy, but you don't want a team of all flash.

But you need scoring, something Jarnkrok doesn't do in the playoffs. Domi brings a hell of a lot more then him overall.

Let's not pretend that Domi is this offensive juggernaut. He's a 10-15 goal a year guy(avg of 14 goals per year over his career). He has 2 seasons that bring that average up from 10 goals a year up to 14. In the playoffs, he scores at a slightly better rate, but other than 2 seasons ago in Dallas, he doesn't have a year where you go "man, he's a deal breaker". Add to that, his inability to play defense, and his 3.75 million seems like a gross overpayment. I also don't think he brings a "hell of alot" more than Jarnkrok. Is he a better goal scorer? Yes. Is he a better all around player? Meh.
