Yikes. Seems like the leafs are getting outworked a fair bit.

The more things change . . . though, I mean, really, I'm not seeing much change in terms of the system, so, really, no surprises.

Should we really be all that surprised.  I think they are making a more concerted effort to go after the guys on the point but it's still a system that seems to have them collapsing and "swarming" the puck carrier down low.  Far too many times there are 3 Leafs players fighting against two offensive forwards...and losing the puck battle.

I mean, maybe this is all on the players just not listening/being incapable of following instructions, but when you keep the coach in place, I doubt that major changes are going to occur in terms of his system, even with pressure from higher up.

Liking the stronger, more confident Kadri on the draw. That was a part of his game he absolutely had to improve to move up in the Leafs line up.

Lupul appears healthy, so that's something.

I've also noticed that the Leafs still seem to do the "all 5 guys on one side of the zone" thing when the other team has puck possession in their end. Not a fan of that, either. It leaves a large section of open ice for the other team to take advantage of.
