Bieksa is so right.  Leafs captain lead by example after took two punches on the head just skated away.  Leafs are way way too soft for playoffs..

Thank you. Soft and mentally weak. Said that the other day about him and he?s not the only one. I show more passion watching this than some guys on the ice. Been saying it for a long time. Even Matthews looks like he?s playing scared. Playoffs you got to elevate your game, do whatever to win every battle not play chicken sh8t. Nylander MOTM lol. Enjoy another 2-3 games of him Herman because they?ll be his last with this team along with Dubas and Shanny.

If the refs were calling that stuff equally sure.  Toronto has been pulled out of the scrums more for retaliation than Tampa has.

Jack letting in that 4th goal when the team started to press was the back breaker.
And letting in the 1st goal and contributing to the 2nd goal didn't help much either.

I didn?t like the first goal either but that was two games in a row where Tampa had their way with the Leafs for the first few shifts and the Matthews line sat on the bench.  Stop letting other teams dictate the style of play.  Trust your best players to try and be your best players.

Still LK you can?t just skate away. Show some heart passion whatever. Said it the other day Tavares getting crosschecked, pushed and punched by little puke Hagel of all guys and absolutely no response from JT. One word pathetic.

Wonder if the pinks slips are starting to be drawn up for Shanahan and Dubas. Nylander playing his last 2 games as Leaf. Wish we could get rid of Tavaras or cut his pay cheque in half. No one would want Tavaras for 5.5 million a year with the Leafs playing half. We have seen this movie before and all know how it ends. I will cheer for them and hope they can actually put 2 games together out of three. GO LEAFS GO.

Sounds like you're bitching about them.

I agree you start with your best. The point though when all is said and done, if Jack makes the save, it probably goes differently. You can't let in those stoppable goals especially a minute into the game. They're killers. Leafs have had to work hard for their goals. Not many gifts. Jack was very giving tonight and he needs to be better or they're done. The good thing though is its 2-2 and we have home ice.

If they don't win at least this series one or all 3 of them will go. Something has to give Guilt Trip. They didn't do anything after last season but if the same result this year I will bet money there will be changes. There has to be. Dubas gave them all a vote of confidence. Figured they were young needed more maturity and growth. Question is how long do you wait? I like Kyle and he's made some good moves but he's also f'd up. Shanny what does he really do and for a guy who knows what it takes to win a Cup and was tough as nails has done nothing along with Dubas to address that. Ya we have some guys with a little snarl but they don't do nothing else. Nylander will probably be the core player to go because of his contract.

We need a bonafide starter that can get you through some playoff rounds. Anyone we can get in a trade with Willy coming from the Leafs. Someone that has a few years of solid goaltending still left in the tank or even a young goalie that looks like he'll be a player that can lead a team to some playoff success?

This is why I said long ago you don't win a Stanley Cup with players like this and Willy isn't the only one. Absolutely unacceptable. Also I don't want to hear about the 2 goals he scored in a game that was out of reach and TB playing to finish the game and easing up.

There will be plenty of time for postmortems if they lose but I have maintained since the start of the season that another R1 loss can and should mean changes.

Now, having said that, let's focus on the fact that the core mission going down there was to get at least 1 win.  They did that, got home ice advantage back.  2-2 in a series against the repeat champs?  I don't think it was realistic to expect more at this stage.

But now they need to win a best of three, with 2 games at home.  This is the acid test.  And if they fail, then something has to give.

Top line has disappeared again, defensive breakdowns again, and a goalie who can't steal one for us, sorry guys even if we somehow make it past round 1 if we continue like this we will never win a Cup, period.

I don't mind them losing. Tampa's a great team and it was never going to be easy. I just don't get why they continually start these tough games like their nervous. At this point why are they always like this in big games? It's a problem. I hope they win the series but I don't have the confidence.

This place is fun after losses.

The top line has "disappeared" because the Leafs are taking too many penalties. That is all. I'm a little disappointed that they kept Kerfoot with Matthews and Marner...but other than that, I'm not sure what more you're looking for.

Matthews and both Marner were robbed in the 3rd period of game 3. Marner hit a cross bar and a post in game 3. Do you have a tv?

And that movie has nothing to do with the present.

I saw that movie plenty of times in the mid-1980s to early 1990s with the Blue Jays, and then they won back-to-back World Series.

Yeah. I just hope we?re approaching the last chapter of that movie and still not somewhere in the middle. One day they will break through and I believe that day is near. Whether it?s next week or not is the question .

No one said it was going to be easy? and to breakthrough that wall against the two times Stanley Cup champions is a tough row to hoe. But if they can somehow find a way, all bets are off as how far they can go afterwards .

What this team requires the most is the confidence needed to get that 1st round monkey off their back. It seems to waver from game to game right now. But I think thats true with a lot of young teams. Look at the oilers momentum changes from game to game.
