Matthews, if he is coming back, has to be in over Reaves. Jarnkrok was good on L4 as expected. No one is doing stupid fighting stuff at this stage of the series.

Agree. No need for Reaves now. And I would leave the lines as they are and put 34 with Holmberg and Robertson. Let Boston pick who they want to chase around. And of course you load the line up when you get a chance.
 
One thing this team has done to me anyway is pretty much the exact opposite of what I think they will do..anticipate a good game they are awful?I didn?t expect anything tonight and they actually try.
 
Knies totally deserves the HM in this one but I just watched the GWG goal a dozen times.  I'm glad I voted for Tavares.  He made something out of nothing ? absolutely nothing.  Just a massive clutch play that was all heart and determination.

Which you could say about the whole team.  What a game.

I love Pontus Holmberg and his blank face must be infuriating to Marchand.

The Bruins captain has taken two penalties since Keefe gave a glowing review of his pristine performance so far.

Starting to creep in a little, I imagine. If the Leafs come out like this on Thursday - and especially if they get a couple early goals - then you?ll really see it start to take hold.
 
Good morning all, hope everyone got a good sleep. Awesome win for us and I hope the "it wasn't Samsonov" group can see now what a goalie can do for a team, it's the one position in all of sports that can change the entire dynamics of a team, let in a softie it deflates you, make the saves it lifts a teams spirits and confidence, when Woll is in net we are a different team, "IF" Woll can keep it up and we get the PP going we have a legit shot at this, so yeehaw bring on game 6, GO LEAFS!!!

God I hope they keep Domi at C. It's clear Holmberg isn't trusted to play minutes at C (deservingly so) and Kampf can only do so much.

I'd probably run something more like 59-11-16, x-Matthews-Nylander, Knies-Tavares-Jarnkrok, while hoping to god McMann can be the x.
 
Just a complete game from every single player on the ice. Defense was moving the puck better and all the lines were contributing. Nylander looked great, Marner other than one play where he could have taken it to the net or shot had a great game and Woll was superb. If they can figure out the PP they have a chance to take this. Come out with the same intensity tomorrow and it's theirs for the taking. Hopefully 34 is back.
 
Even if they don't win, every playoff game is a building block for every player on the team. It was nice to get contributions throughout the lineup and force a 6th game.

Yes, this is good too. Mostly, I want just
[*] Marner on his own line doing his actual thing, rather than trying to funnel everything through Matthews
[*] Tavares with speedy forecheckers/cyclers
[*] Nylander with someone to also pass to that isn't Edmundson or Lyubushkin all the time
[*] Matthews to be healthy enough to play

Pasta wanted to mix it up and thought Rielly was about the right size (certainly not Edmundson), but then discovered the man is a hydrant and backed off right quick.
