Cowan acts and looks 3 years older than he did last year:

Interesting to hear him say that he hopes to get bigger and maybe get to 187-190 lbs. He was listed at 185 lbs at last years training camp (he probably was not 185 lbs).

There is almost no reason to talk to Hlacar (7th rd pick) and Parsons (AHL depth), but because they got into a fight, they get some screen time. Everyone else (Cowan, Danford, Koblar) are 'top' picks.

I like the way the camp is being run. Victor Johansson sounds like he has turned a corner with his physical growth.

From two prospects dropping the gloves to standout performances, here's what stood out at 2025 Leafs development camp.

[Victor] Johansson admits that through most of his career, he was on medication to treat his ADHD. That led to a decreased appetite. Yet he made the decision himself to go off the medication in the hopes of becoming more alert on the ice.

“I felt I was ready to take the next step in my life. School was ending, and I wanted to try it,” Johansson said. “It was tough at the start with my focus. I took a lot of unnecessary penalties. But I’ve since started to play really well.”

And going off the medication has led to him adding some much-needed size.

“I’ll eat everything on the table now,” he said.

I like him. He’s observant, and his body is catching up to his processing.
