I know you want to avoid the risk of injury obviously but there's also probably something to be said about getting in a pre-playoff game before the real ones count.

Sure, though neither team will likely have much to play for. Might not be a super competitive game, in which case, is there a benefit? For some players, probably. For others, the extra rest will be more helpful.

Depends how Thursday goes.  A Bruins win and Tampa loss means Bruins can still catch 3rd place going into Friday's games

But if I'm them, I'd rather face the Canes without Freddie then the Leafs. I think Friday's game will have little meaning to either team.

But if you're the Leafs would you rather face Boston than Tampa?  Will both teams be trying to lose? LOL

Tampa's last two games are against Columbus and NYI. They'll win at least one of those. I'm confident of that.

You're probably right, but that's why they play the games, you never know.

I think it?s one thing for us fans to prefer one opponent over the other, but true contending teams shouldn?t care who they face.

Agree. I don't think they care who they play. They have to believe they can beat and play with anyone. I actually think the Leafs are a good matchup for T Bay because of their offence. Should be a helluva series and hopefully the Leafs can pull it off.
