With the results in the Tampa and Florida games, these have become meaningless games in terms of the standings. No sense risking anything for them.

If Matthews gets to 70 tonight you'd think he gets one of those off.

Probably, yeah. Probably against Tampa. There?s absolutely no standings impact potential for that one. I think both teams will rest some key guys for that one.

I'll take some positives out of this:

PP looked good,

Samsonov bounced back,

Robertson looks like a playoff starter,

they came from behind down 4-1,

and Marner was excellent.

For all the consternation around Samsonov after the first, he settled down and looked pretty darn good. 

The biggest ongoing concern has to be TJ Brodie.  Barring injury, I just can?t see him in the lineup to start the playoffs.
