With the way St. Louis ended the season, along with some key injuries, I think their Cup aspirations end rather quickly.

Chicago in 5.

Miller just hasn't worked out for St Louis and hasn't really shown an ability to consistently raise his game in the playoffs. Chicago is a tough matchup for them. Hawks in 6.

I think this one will be a bit of an upset. St. Louis in 7. I know they ended the season on an awful note but this bit of a break is probably a good thing for them to reset a little. They're also getting some of those injured guys back so that will help a ton. Chicago's missing too much Dave Bolland to really stand a chance here.

Miller did start his stint with the Blues really well. Went 7-0-1 with a .933 save percentage and only gave up more than 2 goals once during that stretch (too lazy to calculate GAA). I think he'll gain his form in the playoffs.

It'll be interesting because both sides have a lot of guys returning from injuries.

I would bet on both sides having guys that are playing injured. That's definitely something to look out for.

Toews and Kane are both ok. StLouis, OTOH, has at least four guys who are actually playing injured. Baches (sp) for one. I was only semi paying attention, but the analysts were going on about that in the pre game.

Yeah of the two teams the Blues are definitely in worse shape for injuries. With Backes there was talk that his foot was pretty messed up but that he'd be playing anyway. It seemed like there was about a half dozen of their guys nursing injuries to end the season. So they're definitely not in the best position right now.

I think Kane is fine but I'm not as sure about Toews. My gut feeling would be that he's in that grey area of not being 100% but still "able to play". It seemed like he messed up his shoulder when he got levelled by Brooks Orpik and the org. was hush-hush about it. They didn't mention anyway specified injury (other than "upper-body injury") and gave no specified timeline other than that he'd be ready for game 1.

Just saw the highlights - good on St. Louis to come out on top. That building was buzzing with excitement.

Thrilling overtimes!  Wish this had been the Stanley Cup Final.  St.Louis & Chicago make for some great hockey viewing.

Keep it up, guys!
