Not that this is news, but Cherry is nuts.  That didn't hit anybody's stick.

Although he's right that Bobby Orr was good at hockey.

That was a revelation.  Never heard him say that before.

I'd really like to see the advanced stats on that one before I make up my mind.

Montreal 2  Tampa Bay 1  Tampa Bay leads series 3 games to 2.

Ding! Ding! Ding!  So screamed the goalposts (& their counterpart crossbars) as Peter Puck simply refused to go in the net.  That's just about what was happening to the Montreal Canadiens the entire game, yes, even after Devante Smith-Pelly's wrist shot caromed just under the crossbar, that gave the Habs a 1-0 lead.

And that was in the first never mind the rest of the way.
In fact, Tampa Bay scored on a rebound as Stamkos slammed it in.
Montreal's power play came  to life as the Canadiens scored past the halfway mark in the third period on P.A. Parenteau's goal.

Once again, these two teams played an exciting brand of hockey with both goaltenders -- the Lightning's Ben Bishop and Montreal's Carey Price -- providing plenty of great saves.  Price may have in fact saved the game (& subsequently the win ) for Montreal,  when he made a heart-stopping barely- there sprawling glove save on a close-in shot on Valteri Fillipula  on a 2-on -1.

Momentum is now with the Habs as the series shifts back to the Amalie Arena in Tampa.

Game 6 is Tuesday in Tampa Bay at 7PM.

Rangers Capitals game and the intermission is all fawning over Carey Price.  Drives me nuts.

Palat with a beauty. Having him, Kucherov, Johnson, and Stamkos all out on the ice at once on the powerplay is deadly. Some teams might be able to put out bigger names, but those guys are all just so in sync.

Is it just me, or was that a glove pass on the Montreal goal? The forward jumped and blocked the puck with his hand, and it bounced right to a Montreal player, then to Pacioretty....

Vaya con dios, World's Greatest Goaltender.  Enjoy cuddling up to your Hart Trophy this summer.

When you score 2 goals or less in 9 of your last 10 games, you're not going to get very far, no matter how good your goaltending is. You can't expect him to hold the other team to 1 or less every night.
