Round 2: Phoenix Coyotes vs Nashville Predators

Nashville has suspended Radulov and Andrei Kostitsyn for game 3 for violating team rules. Bold move.

How stupid can you be as a professional... Kostitsyn never learns, does he?

Rules are rules but seriously?  You use not going to bed at someone else's insistence as proof of stupidity.  Was he drunk?  Partying?  Or was he doing something completely benign?  I'm fine with suspending guys if the rule is in place but as someone who has to function on minimal sleep routinely as a requirement of my job, being told to arbitrarily go to bed seems like a silly thing.  What does being in a room at 10pm accomplish if he doesn't go to sleep until 1am?

That is bold. Not sure of the details so I can't comment on that but we'll see how the team responds, might work.

From the Coyotes perspective I hate this.  A disciplined hardworking team just removed it's 2 laziest players from the linup.

One report said they were apparently seen out at 4 AM prior to game 2.

That would be far more reasonable to suspend.  I guess they just didn't have time to do something before Game 2?

Barry Trotz said hell would have had to freeze over for them to play in game 2 if he had known about it prior to the game.

Wonder who ratted them out after the fact then.

Certainly didn't hurt them tonight as they won 2-0 to get back into the series.

Trotz said before the game that he would considering staying with the same line-up if they won tonight. So those two could be out a little longer.

No Radulov or Kostitsyn again tonight.
I guess I understand Trotz's reasoning on this situation, but it seems to me like he's taking a pretty big risk sitting out two if the team's main offensive weapons.

He is but it's also a rallying point for the rest of the team. They had a good season without those two guys for the most part, shouldn't be all that unfamiliar.

There's gonna be a world of crap heading Nashville's way if they end up losing this series.

Can you imagine if that had happened in Canada?  If Ottawa sat Michalek and Spezza for any reason other than being forced to, Sens fans would flip.
