Round 2: Phoenix Coyotes vs Nashville Predators

No Radulov or Kostitsyn again tonight.
I guess I understand Trotz's reasoning on this situation, but it seems to me like he's taking a pretty big risk sitting out two if the team's main offensive weapons.

They might be two of their teams more talented offensive players, but they only played a combined 28 games for Nashville in the regular season. So the team knows how to win without them.

I was wrong about some things during the lockout but not on the new CBA's impact on the playoffs. Holy christmas, what a festival of mediocrity.

I only caught the last 6 minutes but NSH sure looked anemic.  I suppose Radulov and Kosty are smirking (to themselves) right about now.

If they're smirking while their team is losing in the playoffs, all they've done is prove all the haters right.

In any case I think they're done in Nashville.  And maybe the NHL.

Trotz was screwed either way. Think he sent the better message by going with the guys who won Game 3 without them. That being said, the Preds now have a huge hill to climb.

The Preds need more offensive firepower and output particularly from players like Weber and Suter, to make up for the absence of Radulov and Kostitsyn, especially of Radulov, their top point-getter. Pekka Rinne needs to be 'invincible'.  Otherwise, Nashville won't have much of a chance in this series.

I would have been happy for fans of either team, good for Phoenix.

Quick versus Smith, Smythe here they come...

I agree nice to see these teams do well. I think I feel the same about the next series....may the best team win, pass the popcorn. How cool would it have been for Smith to score! Oh well, I guess he's happy enough.

I didn't find the game dull last night. Although there weren't as many scoring chances as many games due to good team D by both teams, I thought both sides skated their guts out and that quick pace helped maintain my interest.

Trotz said ?It's not always the best team that wins; it's the team that plays the best.? Considering the roster on paper, that may be the case in this series. Trotz seems like a decent coach but Tippett has a knack to get a fair amount out of his noname troops.

Smith was really hot the last couple of games. He looked very good. He may have done more to win this series than he did the Chicago series.

The game was pretty exciting from inside Jobing.com although the tension in the air for most of the 3rd period was wild!!
