That's not accurate at all. The top 2 this year look like they could both be excellent players. They're right up there with the top 4 from last year's draft.

I don't think any of them are getting MacKinnon-like hype, but yeah Reinhart/Ekblad are pretty close to Drouin/Jones. 2013 has the edge over the next group of players I think, but pre-WJC that's not really a very fair comparison.

I think a lot of the talent in this year's draft is being overlooked because McDavid headlining next year's. This year's draft class is largely being ignored.

Remember last year after the WJC and MacKinnon was no longer going to be the top pick. Sorry, just wanted to bring that up.

I know, I know, "players who have the puck are the only ones who can give the puck away" but anyone who watches this team and doesn't see Phil Kessel making a ton of just basic, basic mistakes that lead to turnovers is watching a very different game than I am.

Leafs slept through the 3rd, woke up with about 3 minutes left, put a solid minute of pressure on and Carlyle calls a time out to make sure they play 4 guys back and protect the net. He's a friggin genius.

They put on a show in the last 2 minutes of OT. They could have been doing that all game but they only feel it necessary to show up for 20 minutes.

This team sucks.

The one that got me was his lazy fore check that led to him being stuck in the offensive zone with the puck in the defensive zone.

They knew exactly what they were and weren't getting when they signed him.

Bernier was very fortunate in this shootout. All 3 Buffalo shooters had him beat and either missed the net or hit iron.
