Lines from @markhmasters:

Panik-Bozak-Kessel
JVR-Smith-Booth
Lupul-Komarov-Kozun
Lindstrom-Carrick-Sill

Komarov at centre. I guess that's better than Carrick or Sill at 3C?

Trevor Smith is our #2 center now.  I know Kadri's out but our center depth is hilarious.  IT has been for years.  I think the big question for tonight is whether Joe Thornton gets a citation for Sexual Misconduct.

I lol'd at work at the sexual misconduct quip. Awesome.

All that really matters at this point is that we lose enough games to stay below Carolina and Columbus. In an ideal world you do that while beating Ottawa and Montreal, though.

Dis yere.

In a way, I'm glad we're not in dead last.  You still only have a 20% chance of McDaviding, and can you imagine the crowing we'd have to live with if we finished last and lost the lottery?

OTOH you can only move from 1st down to 2nd, yes?  So whoever finishes last is going to get him or Eichel?

No... dead last would be much better. Getting McDavid or Eichel would make me feel much better about how these past few seasons have unfolded. Medicroity does not sit well with me. This team needs to add some great young players in order to turn this thing around.

Last place would absolutely be best, but I just don't see much chance of any of Buffalo, Edmonton, or Arizona passing us. Then again, if we can get a few more players suspended...

So, St. Louis is most likely to lose in the 1st round because they might have to play Chicago in the 2nd round?

Can someone explain to me what that means?

Sharks broadcast guys pretty much can't believe how bad the Leafs are.

In reality, there is absolutely no reason this team should be this bad.

Well, I think it's becoming clear that the style they played under Carlyle, doomed to failure though it was, is the only way this group can have any success at all.  Score off the rush and hope for the best.  Horachek is trying to get them to play "the right way," and either they can't or won't.

The roster out there is bad and half the veterans had it known the team wants to get rid of them. Not surprised it's mostly mailed in.
