The Marlies In Context - A Playoff Primer

Heroic Shrimp said:
Every time I read Bridgeport Sound Tigers I automatically think, "what are sound tigers?"

The word "Sound" refers to the Long Island Sound, an estuary situated north of Connecticut and south of Long Island.

The Bridgeport Sound Tigers are the AHL affiliate of the New York Islanders and they play in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Thanks again Patrick.  Hope you're back Thursday for the next game.

Kapanen didn't play in game 1  but played in game 2

Lindberg played in game 1 but not game 2

Does anyone know if Kapanen was hurt?
or was he a healthy scratch?

Kapanen was a healthy scratch game 1, then he switched with Lindberg.

Loov, Frattin, and Colin Smith (22 points in 23 games with the Marlies) were scratched for both games.

Is Loov still injured?  To be able to sit Matty and Smith with their production is saying something about the firepower on this team.  Looks like a cakewalk with the Sound. Wish the Raptors could say the same thing with Indie.

Wow, and Loov was healthy was well?

Would have thought he would play over Holl  (never heard of him)

anyways .... what a stacked team  :)

They're playing back to back games and we have ridiculous depth. Might as well take advantage of that, as the Cup run can be a grind with the travel involved.

He played in a pair of games before the playoffs, so it would seem like he's a healthy scratch yeah. Holl's on an AHL contract so it's a little surprising to see him play ahead of a younger defenceman but the coaching staff has really liked him. Dubas and Keefe both called him the most pleasant surprise of the season on the blueline..

Rogers is selling under Sportspack? If any one has a link it would be most appreciated..Rogers and the Leafs are completely dropping the ball on us fans on this one.

AHL Live is getting trashed on twitter for having a feed that is primarily showing the crowd and not the game.  It's also appears to literally be a guy with a Videorecorder from the 90s.

It was literally a creeper cam.  It kept zooming in on women until 7 minutes into the game.

AHL Live generally (or maybe even always) just shows the jumbotron feed and puts the radio feed over top of it. It's overpriced garbage.

Found this on another site.  I think it's the one Patrick usually uses:

But this was worse than that.
