2022 Marlies / Growlers

AHL trade deadline is tomorrow.
With so many NHL dmen on the Leafs, there is more reliance on the AHL Marlies for forward depth.
As many know, the Marlies are one of the best in the AHL this year.
So they have their own playoff aspirations.
McMann & Der-Arguchintsev are injured.
I was wondering if Dubas might do something for them via trade ...

Rielly (29) and Holmberg (24) had birthdays today. Rielly is only five years older than Holmberg but arrived in the NHL four years sooner, at age 19.

Marlies win in OT 3-2

They seemed to get badly spanked today. 5-0 loss to the Charlotte Checkers

Woll in goal. Only 13 shots.
I did not see any major omissions in their lineup at a glance.

They didn't have it today...one of those games. Woll's record is still perfect when the Marlies score a goal. He didn't look good on the 3rd goal, went 5 hole coming off a turnover...

Marlies find footing, rally to knock off Comets (6-5) in opener

My wife took an Australian guest to their first hockey game there this evening.
They had a great time.
If it isn't the best pro sports entertainment value in the city, it is right up there.

I wish it wasn't such a clownshow to get downtown for the games. I'd go far more often.

I've driven. I wouldn't do that for a Leafs game. You can park reasonably.
You can come down 427 or 404 to the Gardiner to bypass city street lights.

TTC isn't that bad either. My wife went that way last night. Subway => streetcar => short walk. The streetcars there are like above ground subways - they have their own lane.
There's a GO Station there.

It depends on time of day and what is going on. Rush hour anywhere in the city is not very good ...
It was a lot easier than I thought it would be.

Toronto Marlies Visit Rochester Americans In Game Three Of North Division Final

Anyone following the Marlies playoff run?

I?m just wondering if Woll will be in net for them tonight ?
