Probably one of the most intriguing prospects in our system right now. Wonder if he comes over full time next season, because if Woll goes to the NHL and Kallgren leaves (both real possibilities) the Marlies crease could be wide open.

There was some minor grumbling, even from me, about Knies' offensive stats not exactly exploding more in his D+2 season. But he did go from not even being a top-10 finalist for the Hobey last season to making the top-3 this season despite having the fewest points of any of the other top-10 finalists. So gotta figure there was a lot of progress in his game that hasn't exactly shown up on the scoreboard.

I remember reading that Knies has done everything the Leafs have asked him to do. He's a better 200x100 foot player lol. Hey he plays in all situations. Also remember some scouting report or similar that says he's the most NHL ready player in Us College Hockey. Of course those are only opinions but what else do we go by of we haven't watched his games.
We're going to get a look at him soon enough. Good luck to him in the final 4.

It should be interesting to see what he does. Marlies will only have Petruzzelli, Cavallin for the Marlies if Kallgren leaves. I wonder if either of the Russian kids will come over?

Anyone else aboard the Hildeby hype train before even seeing him really play? Just me?
Ya, me too, everything I read makes me anticipate some good goal-tending in the near future, Woll and Hildabeast

Brain cramp here...what's the name of the Leaf prospect goaltender that had to serve IIRC a 6 month suspension before he started his pro career? Any news on him this year or...

Dryden Mckay. Also, technically, not a Leaf prospect, as he's on an AHL contract.
