And now who the number 1 contender is in the heavyweight division is up in the air. Dana says Cormier but there is not guarantee he fights his team mate Cain.
 
Cormier has been quoted as saying he'd drop to 205 rather than fight Cain. Overeem showed Silva no respect and paid for it. Don't think Silva is ready but could he get a shot by default?

The main event delivered. Edgar looked good in his debut at 145 and gave Aldo all he could handle in the last 3 rounds of that fight.
 
Man just catching up on my PVR'd shows today. Caught the Brian Stann vs Wanderlei Silva fight and I use the word fight loosely cause it was more like a 2 round war.

Now looking forward to GSP putting Nick Diaz in his place next weekend.

As if GSP needed more reasons to take out Diaz, Nick drops steroid allegations in a pre-fight interview. Clearly Nick doesn't care about what happened to the last 2 guys to try that. The only concern is that GSP has gotten to riled up by this and will forget his game plan and make about payback instead of winning. That being said, I'd love to see GSP stop this chump.

Mark Hunt steps up to replace an injured Overeem for UFC 160 Memorial Day weekend. Dana White has gone on record saying if Hunt beats JDS, he'll be in line for a title shot.

Man I hope GSP just crushes him tonight. If they both fight to their top level there is no way Diaz wins this one.
 
Was reading on Twitter today that Diaz was asking for a rematch at the post-fight press conference. Is he serious? He just got owned and Hendricks turned in an impressive fight against Condit.

Nothing that Diaz says surprises me.
 
Sounds like Johnny "Big Rig" Hendricks can relax a bit now. It appears that he will get his shot at GSP instead of GSP moving up for a superfight against Anderson Silva. Interestingly enough, GSP suggested that he could probably make 155. Might start some rumblings of a GSP-Ben Henderson fight.

Never watch UFC, but being at work and the guys are watching it, I may pop into the lounge for the fight, won't be cheering for GSP though, can't cheer for a Habs fan haha
