Finally got a chance to sit down and watch Sunday's Versus UFC show. Best fight had to be Henderson vs Miller. Henderson just beat on Miller the whole fight but to Miller's credit he kept going and throwing submission attempts out of nowhere.

Have to agree with you on that Darryl. The Lytle fight probably had the best story line, but Henderson-Miller had to be the best fight. It was interesting to see Hardy get stopped especially after GSP tried so hard to do that.
It is becoming evident that Georges BJJ skills are overated. The only subs he's gotten in recent memory was Hughes(3rd fight) and Trigg and that was about 5 years ago or so.

It's TKO night in Brazil

Not one bloddy submission in the card. I like the KO's as much as the next guy, but sometimes you want to see good technical fighters grab a submission.

Fox gets a pretty big fight for their debut. Velasquez vs Dos Santos

They better hope it goes into the championship rounds. There will be other fights on the card, but they are only planning to televise the main event. I will also be interested to see how much they will cater to a new MMA fan in terms of the production.

I've heard in the past that Diaz is no fan of doing press. However, for what would likely be the biggest fight of your career, you need to smarten up. He just blew off the best fight he could get right now. He'll be lucky to not get cut.

Condit was the final WEC champ at 170 and is 4-1 since that class was absorbed into the UFC. Apparently, he was so emotional at getting offered the fight he had to call Dana back to accept. GSP looks like a major step in class for him, but anyone gets a punchers chance.

I forgot to add this news. Ben Henderson and Clay Guida have apparently agreed to be on the prelims for the Cain-JDS card on FOX. Winner of this one could be next in line at 155, provided Maynard-Edgar 3 at UFC 136 produces a result.

So the Nick Diaz story just gets more unusual. Not only is he not cut from the UFC, but he gets re-booked on UFC 137. His new opponent? None other than B.J. Penn who was scheduled to face Carlos Condit. Condit became Diaz's replacement in the main event against GSP.

The fight card is starting to fill up for UFC 140 which will be at the ACC, and it will be a family affair. It was announced today that Tito Ortiz will face "Little Nog" Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. This is on top of the already announced HW tilt between Frank Mir and "Big Nog" Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.

After having watched Barry vs Struve it made the Johnson and Cruz fight feel like it was stuck in fastforward.

The Johnson-Cruz fight was action for the full 25 minutes. Nice intro to the lighter weight classes for the casual MMA fan who only follows the UFC. The WEC used to use a smaller version of the octagon, but they put off a good show in the full size cage. There is talk of the UFC adding the flyweight (125 lb) division in 2012. Mighty Mouse Johnson would be very dangerous at 125.
