Why are cabinets; some wood, hinges and handles, $2000 for an 8' length? I don't want them made out of freak'n gold...just some half decent wood that looks nice.

I helped my disabled father struggle to walk across a windy parking lot today, by the time we reached the front, a handicapped spot had opened up and I watched a guy park his car in there, get out and walk into costco with no problems.
I asked him if he was handicapped, he said there were people in the car that were handicapped and they would be waiting in the car while he went inside to shop. At that point, I flipped out and made a little bit of a scene by telling him what I thought of him. I was actually congratulated by a couple other customers.
I'm usually pretty passive, but it felt nice to stand up for myself and father a little this time.

That drives me crazy too. I nearly flipped on someone when they parked not in the handicap spot, but horizontally across the entrance to it. So they weren't occupying the handicap spot, but they were preventing anyone else from using it.

Is this a new way of parking. I've seen it a bunch of times lately at the hospital....on that note, the people who park their car in the round about in front of University Hospital in London. I completely understand that it is expensive to park your car at the hospital, but the number of people who sit in the car, (idling of course) while smoking a cigarette to wait for their loved one/friend to come out of the hospital is kind of disgusting. It's made worse when you watch some of the elderly patients get discharged and half to walk a block and a half around the corner to get to their ride because these individuals have completely blocked off the round-about. It's not your personal driveway.
