I'll be buying pretty much anything Bethesda makes.  Even when they screw up (dammit, Oblivion), their games are so mod-friendly that the player community can fix up most shortcomings.

that's nothing. The only console game I play is Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past, on our 1987 SNES system.

PS - Ocarina of Time is still one of my favorite all time games.

that's nothing. The only console game I play is Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past, on our 1987 SNES system.

Have you had to replace the batteries in your SNES cartridges?

I've been meaning to pick up an SNES on ebay, but replacing the batteries in the games sounds like a pain in the ass.

Jeez. Weren't bots introduced in GoldenEye? If not probably Perfect Dark, both games which are 10-15 years old.

I am expecting some awesome Bethesda like bugs in Skyrim. For example, in Fallout:New Vegas after I left the Vegas strip I could not re-enter the strip without the game crashing all the time on the loading screen(on PS3). Quick Google search revealed that if I wore a sheriff's hat the game would load. Lo and behold it did. Amazing.

Been wasting time playing N4S Hot Pursuit lately...still fun. Definiitily time for some new games - the new Batman, FIFA & NHL 12, MWF all on the top of the list. I really want to see what Dark Asylum 2 is like compared to the first.

Yeah but New Vegas wasn't really a flagship title. It's not excuse not to have bugs but the amount of bugs in Vegas was a lot higher than Fallout 3. I don't think it'll be bug free but I definitely think they'll have bug issues a bit lower than in Fallout 3 (which I didn't think was that buggy).

And besides, name me a completely open world sandbox game that's 100% bug free. Even GTA and Red Dead Redemption had bugs.

Also, and someone who knows the mechanics of these things may correct me here, but New Vegas was developed by Obsidian and just used the engine from Fallout 3. So you can't really throw that at Bethesda's feet.

That's a shame, because imo the trailers have shown some of the best graphics I've ever seen.

That's a shame, because imo the trailers have shown some of the best graphics I've ever seen.

I agree. That's probably where they spent most of their time, at the expense of actual gameplay. They make a nice little 4 hr campaign that looks cool, then pretty much force you into online play.

I'll stick with Black Ops because in addition to Zombies (roughly equivalent of MW3s Spec Ops mode), they give me the option to play the multiplayer mode off line against the computer controlled bots. I can play at my own pace, and still go online if I want. I'm able to enjoy that game mode in my own way, which is what playing video games is supposed to be about.
