Disappointed that they're still using a crappy pentile display instead of RGB.

So my work got me an iphone 4S today and I've never owned anything other than a BB.  First thoughts that come to mind - why do ppl think this is 10 million times better than a BB?  and yes it is harder for me to type on a touchscreen.

Come back here in 2 weeks and let us know your thoughts.

Yup. The whole typing thing especially takes a bit of getting used to.

Typing on an Iphone 4s isn't always a pleasant experience -- I find myself hitting the space bar rather than the lower keys near it at times....aaargghh!... -- yet, the 4s is, IMHO, the best Iphone simply because of it's o/s (think Ipad), faster than any of it's predecessors.

I can't speak for the BlackBerry (I don't own a BB smartphone), except for the Playbook, which, despite it's slight flaws, I oftentimes prefer it over a family member's original Ipad. No, the Playbook is no Ipad, but, it functions quite well.

BTW You mentioned that you were given the Iphone at work.  Not surprisingly, more and more enterprises are turning towards the Iphone 4s o/s platform/software, as it supports their platform needs now better than the BB.  What was once RIM's domain is slowly slipping from them.

My cousin-in-law told me that his company will be switching to the 4s platform and ditching the BB.

My wife has a blackberry for work (bold) and I find it horrendous for doing any sort of web surfing.  I mean if all you want to do is check email and text people, I suppose the Blackberry is good.  If you want to have some sort of portable internet experience, it's iPhone all the way.

Which version of the bold?

I had to get a phone a few weeks ago, ended up getting a Blackberry Curve. I almost got a smartphone but I couldn't bear the thought of a touch screen.

I thought blackberry's were smart phones.

The new Samsung Galaxy SIII looks absolutely incredible.

Before you join the lemmings at the Apple store to buy their next repetitive fodder, give this thing a try.

Oh and also, every time I see this thread pop up, I think of .....

Hey, iphone owners aren't lemmings!  ???  :)

Just got a HTC One X.  Pretty good so far, but no removable battery and no place for a memory card.  Which you'd think would be something that would go very well with something that has the Beats Audio thing...which I don't care one way or the other about.

Ya run a busy website like this, you'd think I'd be okay with technology...

If I find a site for downloading tv shows, and I download it onto a memory stick, can I stick the memory stick into the tv and will it play?
