Useless Thread

Just curious as to how often posters on here meet?  I mean, I've seen threads on meet ups before, but I wonder if this is the norm?  I'm not looking to meet up with fellow posters as I live in California but was just curious.  However, I would be interested in some pickup games when I go home to visit (London & Toronto).  Do you guys do any of those sort of things?

Hey Sarge,

Think about something you buy a lot, and see about getting some part time work there...then, hopefully, you can get a discount. ;)

Yeah, I was thinking about maybe something from home... LHF, would I be able to pick my own hours at a grocery store? I don't have a regular 5 x 2 schedule  - Thanks for the tips.

that's hard to say. We have a couple guys who are only available certain days/nights. Depends on the store and what their needs are. Our store, for example, has lots of students to do the evenings and the Saturdays and Sundays. Our current problem is that we only have 2 or 2 guys who can work during the day during the week. We have one retired gent who was originally hired to do those fill in shifts during the week..... trouble is, he's so damned good, we've made him a supervisor now :) so we're back to square one now and missing that one guy who can fill in the 'during the weekday' thing. Not every store has this problem though. My best advice, if this is the sort of route you wanna go, is to go into the store and find out, if they need anyone, if they can work around your shifts. (we call that 'the shift availability form' here)

Met a small group of posters at a bar in Waterloo once to watch a Leafs game, but that was it, and a long time ago when I was still a student (probably 10 years ago now).

Thanks guys tried that but still nothing. Apparently from what I've read flash is built right into chrome now. Guess I use IE for youtube until an update.
