Does convention dictate I HAVE to wear a jacket to a summer wedding or is just a shirt and tie good?

I'd say you can probably forego the shirt and tie for a nice knit polo and dress pants - but not like you're going golfing or something.

Just got a job offer at a station that is a lot closer to Winnipeg. Where I currently work, it's 860 kms from home, I drive up and live in a camp, don't cook or pay for food there, and get 14 hours overtime every shift, work 8 days and 6 days off.

The job offer is 120 kms from home, I'd either move closer to the station or commute. No overtime guaranteed, but I could be home every night. Also, my current station is brand new, and the job offer station is 100 years old. Would be a very good learning experience and a lot more work.

Going out there next weekend to check it out, not sure what to do, it would be nice to be home all the time, but the commuting would be brutal.

Tough call, it's amazing how big an impact a tough commute can have on your quality of life, it can be really taxing.

Unless you're blown away when you visit, might be better with the devil you know.

It's probably in your best interests to move closer to the station.
To commute to & fro is going to be stressful both mentally and physically.  That's why it makes more sense to move closer to your work area.  Or, if that doesn't sound appealing, then maybe the way you are now currently situated is better...

...the choice is yours, Ryan.  Good luck.  :)

Why are the '92 and '93 playoff runs referred to as such as opposed to the '93 and '94 playoff runs?  Had the Leafs won the Cup in both years, we would say they were Cup champs in '93 and '94, not '92 and '93.  ???

I've never heard them referred to as the '92 and '93 runs.

I got on an ascending escalator behind a guy in a wheelchair leaning back and holding on to the handrails.  I didn't know whether to stand right behind him in case he started to fall backwards, or waaaaaaaay behind him in case he started to fall backwards.

Escalator on a wheelchair?  That fellow was being pretty careless.  Should have used the elevators.  That's what most wheelchair people use.

Unless, of course, there weren't any elevators?

The elevator was about 20 feet away and pretty visible.

Wheelchairs and elevators make me think of this guy:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4m5zwiwgpU

Maybe he had just smoked a little crack with a high-ranking City of Toronto official, and he now felt invincible?

The Swedish league, called "Elitserien" or "The Elite League" will switch name to SHL (Swedish hockey league) soon. Not sure if it will be before the next season or not though. Another change that I've reported before is that there will be no limit on non-european signings. So expect a lot more players from Canada and USA to sign with Swedish teams.
