Useless Thread

Just a quick hello to you guys. Yeah, I'm still alive but busy with life and it's challenges and to be honest, I'm pretty much disgusted with the Leafs these days. Both have kept me away from these forums for the most part but I still check in from time to time... Just wanted to wish you all good health and a great summer.

I've never really used a barbecue before. I'm 27 and grilled a few things previously but I moved out before I really got the hang of my dad's grill, and I've been apartments ever since.

I'm living in a house now and I just took the bbq out for a spin. I can't believe how much of a difference in flavour it makes. I marinated chicken for a few hours, put it on 400f for 4-5mins per side and boom. Deliciousness.

I think I have a new summer hobby!

I BBQ pretty much everyday for lunch and my BBQ is a piece of crap. It's still awesome though.

People of Toronto - if I was staying on/around Queen Street West in Toronto and wanted to walk down to Exhibition Place, can I do that right now?  Is there construction that's going to block me?  I keep reading there is a ton of construction.  Google Maps tells me it would be around a half-hour walk, I don't care about transit or all that I know it exists.  The map tells me I would use Strachan Ave. to get there.

I'm just curious if anyone is familiar with this area and can let me know if there is anything unforeseen.  I'm there for something that I can't really miss.

I live in Liberty Village (where the Exhibition is), and you should be fine.  There is construction on Strachan, on the east side, but the sidewalk is open on the west side so you should be fine.

But yeah, take Queen to Strachan, and then take Strachan south all the way to the Ex!

Even if there was construction, there's usually ways around it. Pedestrians have way less of an issue than vehicles.

Are you planning to walk around the grounds?

Have to go to the Direct Energy Centre actually, on Princes' Blvd.

What happens if you stop "following" someone on facebook? I've done it a lot during times when I want less to read, and usually those (a lot) people delete me. Hmm.

Random question: Has anybody ever used lacrosse jerseys from Kobe Sports? These ones in particular: http://kobesportswear.com/shop/lacrosse-jerseys/lightweight-lacrosseinline-jersey/

My ball hockey team is looking to get new jerseys and we want something as lightweight and breathable as possible and I thought lacrosse jerseys would be the way to go. We've pretty much decided we're getting these but I'd still love to see a picture or something of the actual jersey beforehand. The store I'm buying them through doesn't carry any in stock.

Or does anybody know of a sporting goods store in southern Ontario that carries lacrosse jerseys? I'm guessing they won't be the exact same but it should be close enough.

On what channels can TSN 1, 3 and 5 be found on?  I only see TSN4 (why is this main channel not TSN1?) and TSN2.

494-498 on Rogers in Toronto.

TSN4 is like Sportsnet Ontario, which is why it is our default channel.

I don't have a dog in the fight but it's been a heck of a thing to follow. I especially liked Frankie Boyle's line summing up the No side's argument as "the belief that two small, relatively similar countries are better off banding together to create a larger and more powerful one provided those countries aren't part of Ireland."

Indeed, it's really tragic, it's been a campaign of scare tactics from the British establishment, basically collusion from all involved.

Unfortunately it's the same politics of fear that's become common place this past 15 years or so.

Yeah it's sad that it's come to this.  The truth is that Scotland is better off as an independant country in the EC than part of one of the most successful partnerships in history.  The British empire barely extends off the island but London still runs it like an empire.  I wish we had picked a better thread to post in. As a Scot I find it a little insulting..

I still have the accent chief, been in America for 4 years, but my heart is still there.

I posted in this thread purely because I figured there would be little interest on this website, read nothing more into it.
