It's pretty close. Hess is downtown while that place would probably be considered more east end-ish. But by car it's just like 5 minutes.

It's east hamilton/downtown. Nobody would have noticed anything unusual in that regard.

Typical media, always telling us about when a resurrection attempt ends up in disappointment and never when it works out in the end.Madferret said:

I suppose. Mind you, I'm not sure he's all that convinced that everything works out in the end for your people.Nik the Trik said:Heroic Shrimp said:Typical media, always telling us about when a resurrection attempt ends up in disappointment and never when it works out in the end.Madferret said:

To be religious is one thing, but to believe in the absurd (a resurrection for an individual) is another. In fact, all things considered, these people's beliefs not only went way too far but are an insult to the ordinary Christian.

I try to never comment on religious topics, but this has got to be the most ironic statement I have ever read.

Why? Did you think the deceased man was Jesus?

You said that to believe in something absurd, like resurrection, is an insult to ordinary Christians. That is like saying someone not accepting that Jesus is the Son of God is an insult to Judaism.
hockeyfan1 said:Perhaps I should have re-clarified my point. What I really meant was that to be religious is one thing, but to believe in a resurrection for an ordinary individual who is not Jesus,(who, by the way, was extraordinary), is what is absurd.
I, myself, am a Catholic Christian and believe in Jesus' resurrection -- Christ was crucified, died, then rose again. Christ was an extraordinary individual, the Son of God, who had great powers (to heal, etcetera, etcetera).
When a person dies, the spirit goes to the other world but the body is just a dead corpse. What was this woman thinking, that her husband would just physically wake up and start walking around?
