It throws me off that this is Antropov's kid.  He's 36.  Antropov remains one of my favourite Leafs.

Same. He's easily one of my favorite leafs.
I'm shocked that he was anyone's favorite. He was okay, a favorite by default? Our only top 6 forward at the time? He was a regular on fishing show I watched from time to time.

Was in Sweden last week and had the pleasure of catching a game in the SHL. Skelleftea, who had claimed the regular season title the previous game, playing Djurgardens in Skelleftea.

In goal for Skelleftea was a certain Mikael Tellqvist. Skelleftea won 3-0 but Tellqvist was probably Djurgarden's best player. Unfortunately for him he got out duelled by a Skelleftea veteran 36 year old 3rd string goalie who was playing his first (and only game of the season) and got the shut out.

Clarkson scored last night... yep THAT Clarkson. 2 points, 5 hits and 10PIM in 3 games, a fantasy hockey stud.

Scrivens, Gustavsson and Reimer won last night...

Doug Gilmour's letter to his 13-year-old self. Totally awesome.

Just wanted to say this is one hell of a read, left me with tears in my eyes. I was living out of country in 93 and missed Frazers missed call on Gretsky. Sounds like a complete bonehead call.
His sentiments on Burns and his father are very touching.

Only one on the list i wouldn't have minded being back on the deal he received is Parenteau. Another cheap year of him would have been fine with me.

We didn't need him back but he gets respect from me from now on. Impressed me wit the consistency and quality of his play.

Jason Smith is the new head coach of the Kelowna Rockets WHL.
Played parts of three seasons for the leafs and was one tough S.O.B.
and was part of the Gilmour trade that sent Dougie G. to the Devils. Look forward to what he brings to the Rockets team.

Former Leaf Andre Deveaux, now with GlobalMedic, helping out with rescue efforts in his native Bahamas.  After the devastation that Hurricane Dorian brought to the region, the Bahamanian-born Deveaux felt compelled to help the homeland of his parents & grandparents.

Two days after the hurricane hit the Bahamas, Deveaux left his job at Pearson International Airport, his four-year-old son and his wife, who is eight-and-a-half months pregnant with their second child.

?Flying in, you see how scary the power of mother nature is,? Deveaux said succinctly about the wreckage he observed.
He arrived in Nassau to begin his work aiding people left devastated by Dorian.

?My grandfather, when he was alive, told me ?It?s great what you have in Canada. I hope you stay there forever. But just know that you can always come back to the Bahamas. In the Bahamas, Bahamians look out for one another.? That?s always stuck with me,? Deveaux said.

I don?t like it when people preach, but we don?t have much to complain about back home,? he added. ?This just makes me realize that a lot more.?
I?m Bahamian as much as I am Canadian. I want my son to have a connection here.?
In the wake of tragedy, the connection to the country he was born in is stronger than ever for Deveaux.
?We have to look out for one another here,? he said.

In Vegas when you put up snakeyes you are out!

Snake eyes is 2.

While we're here that's also not how Craps works. You can keep shooting after crapping out.

There's circumstances you can even win rolling a 2 also, aren't there?
