Sounds like he's motivated to make it to the NHL. I really hope this is his breakout year.
Where is Kadri and what's going on with his development?

EAKINS VERY PLEASED WITH KADRI'S PROGRESS http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/ahl/2012/10/24/dallas_eakins_pleased_nazem_kadri_progress_marlies/?utm_source=Hockey%20lineup%20RSS-Images&utm_medium=feed&utm_content=Eakins%20very%20pleased%20with%20Kadri's%20progress
"We?ve talked about it and he has been excellent for the last three weeks especially from his diet (and) I see him in the gym all the time," Eakins told reporters Wednesday. "He?s upped his pace in practice and eventually all of this will just become second nature."

I've always liked the way Kadri has faced adversity, he faces it head on in my opinion. He doesn't sulk, but works harder, while not losing a ton of confidence in the process.
