Wings @ Leafs - Dec. 21st, 7:00pm - CBC, SN 590

Ovechkin scored his 30th goal tonight (in 34 games this year)...come on, pick up the pace, I want 50 in 50.

True, we don't yet know what that 2nd will be. I did like that we made a decent trade from a position of strength, Nonis had the defense core to do it with players like Finn, Percy and company on the way.

I was going to say the draft pick was more of an asset for the Ducks than Blacker, but I figured I'd check to see what Blacker's been up to recently first. 8 points in 11 game for Forfolk. Pretty good for somebody who could barely crack the Marlies line-up.

Or if he could hit 70 in a season that would be something only few here remember

Well Holland for Blacker + 2nd.  Still better value, but the Leafs were taking a bit of a gamble too if he wasn't any good and they gave up a prosect + 2nd round pick for a completely unproven player.

We can only hope that one or two of them pan out.

Could just be "fresh-start syndrome", but good for him and the Ducks. I would have never guessed he was scoring like that, however Holland is in the NHL.

So I took a look at the Norfolk roster.  Garnett Exelby is playing for them.

Good for Clarkson.  Maybe a lucky goal will get him going.  Please.
That was all Detroit crashing their own net.
