The Wild logo is a failed attempt to be clever, I think. I get the two-in-one thing but they swung and whiffed in my opinion... and I don't care for the colour scheme much.

While Antropov wasn?t using the injury as an excuse, it?s evident that having hip surgery last summer certainly hampered his play.
?It?s in the past already, so it doesn?t really matter,? Antropov said Tuesday after the new Jets jerseys were unveiled at 17 Wing Winnipeg. ?I?m looking forward to the season ? I?ve had a healthy summer and last year I was recovering from the (hip) injury. It?s going to be a great year.?
Talk shifted to Antropov?s expectations for himself.
Since much of the talk surrounding this Jets? team focused on where the goals might come from, it should be noted that Antropov had seasons of 26 and 21 goals with the Toronto Maple Leafs and just two seasons ago (when healthy) managed 24 goals and a career-best 43 assists and 67 points for the Thrashers.
That prompted the question of whether Antropov might actually hit the 30-goal plateau during the upcoming season?
?I?m not going to call the numbers, but I?ll do the best that I can. I?m looking forward to the season and we?ll go from there,? said Antropov. ?If you don?t expect anything from yourself, you shouldn?t be here.?
Much has been made about how most former Thrashers are going to need time to adjust to the scrutiny that comes with playing in a hockey-mad market, but Antropov knows first-hand what it?s like to play in a rabid Canadian city after spending the better part of his career with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
?I?ve been in the same situation when I played for the Leafs and it?s great to be back on Canadian soil, where people know and care about hockey,? said Antropov, who spent much of the past summer training in Toronto. ?It?s great. People care and that?s the most important thing.?
http://www.winnipegsun.com/2011/09/07/fehr-fully-expects-to-miss-jets-opener said:As much as it pains him, Eric Fehr will be in a sharp suit instead of a jersey on opening night as the Winnipeg Jets host the Montreal Canadiens.
Although the Winkler product continues to make progress from off-season shoulder surgery, he simply won?t be ready in time.
?I have full intentions of missing the opener,? Fehr said Tuesday after the Jets unveiled their new jerseys. ?With that in mind, I?m just trying to make sure I?m healthy and when I come back, I?m back for good.
?It?s coming along pretty well. It feels strong, but you have to be a little extra careful because it is the second surgery on that shoulder.?

Clearly, your tastes are very different than mine. I find the
Islanders' logo to be really ugly (I don't like the colours,
the lettering, the amorphous blob that's meant to be Long
Island, etc), whereas, I find that the Kings logo is clean
and crisp.
To each their own, I guess.
The very best logos belong to the original six teams, no doubt.
Truth is, I find some of today's logos/jersey to be devoid of much 'sentimentality' -- as if a computer designed it from whole. The Wild, the Canucks, the Blue Jackets, the Hurricanes, Presators, Sharks, etc., etc. Just my impression.
The Wild?
I actually like this logo. Given that the team name is rather ambiguous, I think it's pretty well done.

I agree. It perfectly blended a wilderness scene with a wild cat. For me it doesn't get much better then that. Calgary flames logo and canucks logo were the bad unorginal ones. They were just C's.

The 21-year-old defenceman signed a US$5-million, two-year deal with the team on Wednesday.
Bogosian was a restricted free agent who waited all summer to get a new contract.
He arrived in Winnipeg earlier this week to participate in informal workouts with his teammates and told reporters he was anxious to officially join the Jets.

*bounce in anticipation*
Leafaholic99 said:Looks like TSN Jets is set to go, pretty stupid if you ask me that Shaw & MTS are going to charge 10$ a month for the channel, for one channel and in Manitoba it is pretty much the only way to see Jets games on TV as 60+ of them will be on this station.
