I just find it funny that fans of some other teams join a Leafs-centric board and then expect sympathy from Leafs fans. I don't belong to other hockey teams forums cause you know, I support the Leafs.

I think, and this might be a giant leap of logic, that in the wake of a game 7 loss, the stat was provided to show how the sens have historically had troubles in such situations.  I believe TV broadcasts are also known to demonstrate what I will refer to as "displaying random stats."

But do I always root against the Sens?  Yes I do. Do I hate Neil?  Yes I do. Do I rag on Ratty?  Yes I do but it's purely reflexive. Do I respect him?  Yes I do. I have questioned his judgment on several occasions but never his effort.

Congrats to the Rangers on their series win, and kudos to the Senators for taking this all the way.  Best of luck to Alfredson on whatever decision he chooses to make regarding his career.  If this was indeed his last game as a Senator, his goal in Game #7 can stand as an exclamation mark to his career with Ottawa.

I don't see anything wrong with taking exception to unessecary jabs in a thread that is solely about the Senators and I certainly don't see how that means someone is searching for sympathy.

Good job on the thread and series, guys. Would love to see a Sens/Leafs playoff matchup again soon; I am loathe to see Sather or a Flyer hold up Cup.

Yeah I feel the same way, but I have to admit, my heart softened towards Neil just a teensy bit when I saw him in the handshake line. He looked sincere in the way he was congratulating the Ranger players. Unlike Alfie, who rigidly went through the motions.

I used to be anti-alfie..  but for some reason i don't have that anymore.  He seems like a legit good person who cares for the game and the fans.. maybe because he's older and wiser now.  It was interesting to see him so angry in game 6... emotions!
