Is it really that good of a trade?  Conacher isn't a 19 year old either, and hardly proven.  He could be Bozak for all we know, he doesn't have the size, and has already slowed down to 6 points in last 16.

It's a good return, all things considered, but, Conacher is certainly no sure thing. He could very well not progress from where he is now, and he's not suited for anythign other than a scoring role.

I mean, Bozak had 27 points in 37 games as a 23 year old coming out of college, and has never progressed beyond that, or even to maintain that.  It's quite possible Conacher does the same thing.

Absolutely. He could certainly end up taking the Bozak route or even the Bobby Butler route.

Real_ESPNLeBrun: Told draft pick going to Jackets for Mason

With the Flyers involved, this could be anywhere in the draft.

Russostrib: Obviously a huge #mnwild trade on the horizon with Larsson and Hackett pulled

Looks like something is up in Minnesota.

Is there a worse goalie graveyard than Philly?  When's the last time these guys had a reliable starter?  Hextall?

I can think of no better place to nurture a young goaltender with a confidence problem than Philadelphia.

Recap: Philadelphia traded Columbus the good goalie, Columbus traded Philadelphia the bad one.

:)

Gaborik to Columbus?

David Pagnotta of thefourthperiod (didn't think they are reliable) has tweeted that.

You're right, this could turn out to be 'meh'.  His body of work is relatively small, but he is/was a Calder contender, albeit having played with Stamkos for a good portion.

Looking at it as dealing from a position of strength for the Sens, I think this is a good gamble for them to take.  Bishop, as of yet, hasn't really been considered as one of the next wave of starters.  I don't know how much more he would have fetched.
