2014-15 Prospects Thread

Until a better video emerges, Nylander just scored this penalty shot goal: https://vine.co/v/OhFuQ1UK730

It was hard to make him out in that video because he was so skinny. He needs to put on weight to be visible on Canadian broadcasts.

My son just texted me "Nylander has 7 points in 7 games, one off the team lead, but has only played a third of the games of anyone on his team"

That was quite a shock looking up his stats like that! Can anyone put that into some context or is that really as good as it seems?

Considering he has matched his entire point total of last year in 7 game is pretty impressive where he had 7 points in 22 games with Modo.
Must of picked up a ton of confidance in his time with the Leafs.  He is playing like a man now, the boy is getting left behind.

Right now, it's just a hot start, but, if he keeps it up . . . being near a point per game in the SEL at his age is very very impressive.

Yeah, of the players in the SEL last season who were near or above PPG by the end of the season, none were under 25 years old.

Don't forget our famed 7th round pick Andreas Johnson.  7G 4A in 15 games for Frolunda.

with our young swede defensemen coming along and Nylander and Johnson showing so much promise, I can still be excited about the Leafs?.Especially with Babcock to coach them.
I better stop saying that.

Nylander-TOR with 2 more points today. Nice goal around 1:40, assist at 2:40 http://www.shl.se/shl-arena/38953/ ?

Also scored a goal in the shootout, but that isn't in the video.

Depending on where the Leafs finish in the standings and how far he climbs in the draft rankings, keep your eyes on Mitch Marner in London.  This kid is really good.

Andreas Johnson and Nylander tearing it up. Johnson had 3 goals on the weekend

Some pretty slick goals on his player page from this year:
